Pressure Washing or Soft Washing
It can be a bit confusing when you are looking for a pressure washing service and you are seeing things such as “pressure washing”, “soft washing”, “power washing”, “hot water washing”, “eco-friendly chemicals”.
That’s a lot of options. So how do you know if you’re choosing the right one?

Pressure washing and power washing are pretty much the same thing. It’s a matter of region and preference that typically determines which term you use. We call ourselves Tarpon Power Wash because we don’t want people to assume that we only use high pressure. We do use pressure washing in certain situation where it considered best practice such as concrete cleaning for driveways and sidewalks. We also still use a treatment in these cases to prevent rapid regrowth.
Soft washing is a term used to describe using very low pressure, generally not stronger than a garden hose, along with certain chemicals and detergents, to clean a home, business, or any structure for that matter. Pressure washing certain materials can result in uneven cleaning and even damage to the building itself. Sometimes this damage can’t be repaired without replacing the damaged material.
Hot water pressure washing isn’t necessary in most cases. However, if you have oil or grease stains, a hot water wash is going to be the most effective method to remove these stains. Outside of that, it isn’t really necessary. We do have the capability of hot water pressure washing but we seldom find a need for it.
Eco-friendly pressure washing is what most pressure washing companies strive for. This doesn’t mean that everything we use is safe for you to drink! But once we rinse the products there is nothing to worry about. We make sure to take great care with what we use and how we use it.
